Sharin Rello
Ms. Sharin Rello
Sharin Rello started her career at Lawrence Intermediate School as a music educator where she taught general, vocal, and instrumental music classes. During her time in the district, Sharin has revived the musical theater program at the Intermediate school and created a district-wide jazz festival and focused on giving students authentic music experiences through guest artist and performance opportunities. Sharin has worked on many district projects including curriculum writing, standards-based grading initiatives, character education, and the district equity committee. Outside of school, Sharin enjoys reading, running outdoors and playing her saxophone with other local musicians. She is excited about her new role at LIS and looks forward to having the opportunity to continue working with the families and staff at LIS educating the whole child.
"As a leader as LIS, I would like to support our students by continuing to grow our social-emotional and trauma-informed practices in the building. Taking the time to build relationships between all members of the LIS community is vital if we want to ensure we meet students where they are and support them in areas of social, emotional, and academic weaknesses. I would like to assist our staff by supporting them through this year of transition at LIS. As we rise to the challenge of change, it is important we continue to build our educational toolboxes to make sure we have the best strategies in place to reach all of our students."
